In partnership with UNEP-FI, Climate Action hosts the Sustainable Investment Forum Europe for its 5th annual edition. The Forum will examine the need for central governments to direct capital for a greener, inclusive recovery and redirect fiscal policy towards resilient, sustainable growth. The event will feature three days of online sessions, panels and keynotes, and one day of in-person networking and roundtables.

UF22 will focus on small cities and how they drive sustainable change across the continent. Some of the topics that will be addressed include: New districts in the making Changing structures Social transformation Leadership & skills The conference will be held in in Helsingborg and will gather a global community of urban change-makers. The 4th edition of Smart and Sustainable Planning for Cities and Regions (SSPCR 2022) will focus on the challenges that cities and regions are called to face in the next decade: ensuring a sustainable future and better quality of life. The conference will focus on solutions to turn urban areas into greener and more digital places, resilient to the threats of pandemics and climate change.  

The World Conference on Climate Change & Sustainability (Climate Week 2022) with theme of Advancing the Global efforts on Climate Transparency will address multidimensional aspects of climate change and present viable solutions. The conference will bring together a range of key actors from institutions, governments, cities and communities, the private sector, and civil society, including young minds, from all over the world, to make the world more climate-resilient.

This event, consisting of a final showcase of RUGGEDISED project work and the Recharge Earth Energy Transition Conference, is of interest for anyone working towards a clean urban energy transition. The event will present the smart city lessons from the RUGGEDISED project, where the cities of Rotterdam, Glasgow, Umeå, Parma, Brno and Gdansk have worked with researchers and private industry on pushing urban transition through smart city developments and methods. Four RUGGEDISED cities, Rotterdam, Umeå, Glasgow and Parma, have been selected by the European Commission to join the EU Cities Mission. More information on the event website.
