Loading...

Context and Challenges

Helsinki is responding to the rising share of logistics-related emissions by forging stronger ties with industry stakeholders. MADLESS consolidates research, best practices, and practical pilots through meta-analysis to identify the most impactful emission-reduction measures. The project focuses on enabling actions—from infrastructure for freight electrification to land-use coordination—and promoting shared responsibility between the city and private actors. It fills the gap in data-informed, cooperative logistics decarbonisation.
