NetZeroCities is forging alliances with key projects, initiatives, and networks to scale and speed up the impact of the EU Cities Mission.
NetZeroCities is actively signing Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) to establish new partnerships and significantly enhance existing synergies with related projects, initiatives, and networks. These collaborations are essential in fostering knowledge exchange, driving innovation, and amplifying our collective impact towards climate neutrality in European cities.

ASCEND
Accelerate Positive Clean Energy Districts is an EU-funded project aimed at making Positive Clean Energy Districts the standard solution in European cities to combat climate change and foster inclusive, resilient, and smart communities.
CapaCITIES
CapaCITIES is an EU-funded project that supports national and regional authorities in strengthening governance and coordinating efforts across climate-neutral city initiatives to align with the goals of the Cities Mission.

CDP is a global non-profit that runs the world’s only independent environmental disclosure system for companies, capital markets, cities, states and regions to manage their environmental impacts.
CEN/TC
CEN provides a platform for developing European Standards and technical documents across various sectors, including air and space, chemicals, construction, energy, food, healthcare, ICT, transport, and more.
CIVITAS
CIVITAS is a flagship European Commission programme that fosters collaboration among cities to advance sustainable urban mobility, supporting the goals of the European Green Deal through peer exchange, networking, and training.
CLIMABOROUGH
CLIMABOROUGH is a project, co-funded by the European Union and CINEA, with the ambition to bridge the gap between design and implementation of urban innovations, particularly in the face of climate change and its consequential needs for adaptation and mitigation.

The Carbon Neutral Cities Alliance (CNCA) aims to drive transformative climate action in cities to achieve prosperity, social equity, and resilience, prioritising a just carbon-neutral future that supports marginalised communities.
Covenant of Mayors
The EU Covenant of Mayors for Climate & Energy is an initiative supported by the European Commission bringing together thousands of local governments that want to secure a better future for their citizens.
ExPEDite
ExPEDite aims to create a digital twin for real-time monitoring and management of district-level energy flows, enabling analysis, prediction, and optimisation of energy performance for better decision-making.
GreenInCities
GreenInCities is an EU-funded initiative to make climate-resilient urban planning the standard for deprived areas, addressing societal awareness, innovative greening, and advanced co-creation technologies to drive impactful regeneration.
HS Booster
HS Booster provides the European Standardisation Booster. The booster provides expert services to European projects to help them to increase and valorise project results by contributing to the creation or revision of standards.
NetworkNature
NetworkNature is an initiative supporting the Nature-based Solutions (NbS) community by fostering cooperation, building partnerships, and providing a science-based repository to advance NbS impact and strategic action.
Philea
Philea unites over 7,500 public-benefit foundations across 30+ countries to empower philanthropy in building a pluralistic, just, and resilient society by fostering collaboration, co-creating knowledge, and promoting enabling environments for positive change.
SMART CITIES MARKETPLACE
The Smart Cities Marketplace is a European Commission initiative that engages cities and towns to create sustainable urban environments by offering resources, expertise, and support to explore solutions, develop projects, and secure financing for urban sustainability initiatives.
SUN4Ukraine
SUN4Ukraine is a four-year initiative supporting Ukrainian cities in achieving climate neutrality by pairing them with EU Mission Cities for knowledge exchange. Through capacity-building and technical support, it helps integrate Climate Neutrality Plans into urban recovery strategies for a sustainable future.
TIPS4PED
Turning Cities Planning into Action for Positive Energy Districts is an EU-funded project involving four cities from four countries, focused on scalable technologies and digital strategies to deliver Positive Energy Districts in European cities.
U_CAN
U_CAN aims to help Ukrainian cities achieve climate neutrality by 2050 through strategic cooperation between EU experts and local stakeholders to develop green strategies and enhance capacities.
UP2030
The UP2030 project aims to support cities in driving the socio-technical transitions required to meet their climate neutrality targets. The project programme helps city stakeholders and local authorities put neutrality on the map of their communities in day-to-day actions and strategic decisions.
