In the context of the French Presidency of the Council of the EU, the French Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation (MESRI) is holding a High-level Conference on Civic Engagement in the EU Missions on 21 March 2022 at the Iena Palace in Paris and online. In partnership with UNEP-FI, Climate Action hosts the Sustainable Investment Forum Europe for its 5th annual edition. The Forum will examine the need for central governments to direct capital for a greener, inclusive recovery and redirect fiscal policy towards resilient, sustainable growth. The event will feature three days of online sessions, panels and keynotes, and one day of in-person networking and roundtables.
The 2022 edition of the Smart Cities Marketplace Forum "Towards a just and clean urban transition" will focus on networking and exchange of knowledge on clean energy transition, funding and financing opportunities, and learning how to integrate innovative and clean-technology solutions in Europe. The event, organised in collaboration with the Covenant of Mayors Office, the European Innovation Council, and the Netherlands Enterprise Agency, will take place on 26 and 27 April 2022 in Brussels and online. The Malmö Summit, part of the ICLEI World Congress 2021-2022, will take place on 11-13 May 2022 in Malmö. The aim of the event will be to exchange with and inspire one another on the best practices in local sustainable development, and learn firsthand from the City of Malmö’s wealth of sustainability initiatives. ICLEI holds the World Congress on sustainable urban development every three years.
Organised by the Directorate-General for Environment of the European Commission, EU Green Week is the key event in the EU environment policy calendar. The event focuses on debating and discussing European environmental policy. It attracts policymakers, leading environmentalists, stakeholders and other interested parties from across Europe and the globe.
UF22 will focus on small cities and how they drive sustainable change across the continent.
