More European cities reach milestone on Climate-Neutral and Smart Cities Mission

At a ceremony in Brussels, 23 cities – all part of the EU Cities Mission – received a ‘Mission Label’, following the submission of their Climate City Contract or CCC, which defines the city’s climate commitments, action plan, and investment strategy to become climate neutral by 2030. The EC publishes the factsheet Saving Energy for a Safe Winter

In the context of risk of gas outages and the EU's will to end its dependence on Russian fossil fuels, the European Commission has published the factsheet "Saving energy for a safe winter" that provides examples of cities that are already working on reducing energy consumption through energy saving and energy efficiency measures.
